Recently I went for dinner with my parents at Parkway Parade's Ichiban Boshi. They didn't allow reservation, thus we had to wait for about 20 mins to get a table. But it was all worth it! Their service was prompt and the food's quality was awesome.
Here's what we ordered:
Potato Salad with Spicy Roe Dressing |
You can't go wrong with this choice, the salad was fresh and the potatoes were mixed well with the right proportion of mayonnaise!
Salmon Sashimi |
Tako Sashimi |
Fried Maki with Spicy Tuna |
Ever tried fried maki? Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Even though it's fried, it wasn't oily and it didn't have the rancid taste at all.
Left: Sorry don't remember what it's called. Maki Right: Vegetable Maki |
The vegetable maki was nothing to shout about.
Assorted Mushrooms in Clear Butter Soup |
Love the combination of both mushrooms and broth but overall it was a tad too salty for me.
Spicy Set: Spicy Squid on Hot Plate, Raw Scallop with Spicy Sauce, Fried Chicken Coated with Wasabi Dressing |
I love the fried chicken with wasabi dressing. The rest of the set tasted alright but I wouldn't order it again.
The total bill came up to about $85; Not too bad for a birthday dinner!
After the meal, my parents surprised me with 2 mini birthday cakes!
Perfect for my sweet tooth. :)
Mini Strawberry Sweetheart cake and Mini Tiramisu from Four Leaves |
The end! Do stay tune for more updates real soon!
